1. How to Use This Site

Signing up for Cooking Class: Quick order by entering 3 digit class number listed in our mailed class brochure or from the "Print class brochure" link at bottom of page in the "Product Search" window in the top left window of web page. Browse cooking class selection by "cooking classes" link at top of page or left of page. Looking for a specific Cooking Class (instructor, ingredient, month, etc) Go to "Advanced Search" window upper left of web page select "Cooking Classes" from department list, in "Search Text" window enter subjects of interest for example: (Clay shrimp septemer). This would display all cooking classes that Chef Amber Clay taught with shrimp as ingredient held in September. The less subjects entered the more choices offered. Products, descriptions, and pictures are being added daily, please check back often.

3. Return Policy

The Kitchen Shoppe customer service department will cheerfully help you with your defective or damaged merchandise. NO returns are accepted without prior authorization. Please call our customer service department, toll free 1-800-391-2665, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. All returns must be made within seven (7) working days from the time the merchandise is received. Please have your copy of the sales receipt with you. We will need certain information located on your receipt to help you with your request. Sorry, no returns on cookbooks.

If you have changed your mind and would like to return an item(s) you may choose to have another item sent to you or store credit issued for the purchase price of that item. You must pay the return postage. Don't forget to call for prior authorization first. We will give you store credit, less the freight charges, when the item has reached us and has been inspected. Please take care to pack it carefully to avoid possible damage. The item must be in its original packaging with all parts, accessories, instructions and warranties intact. Failure to do so may void a refund or credit to your account. Please remember to include a copy of your original invoice and fill out the return form.

If we have shipped something in error (our packing room personell are all humans!) please follow the above instructions. We will credit your account for the purchase price, plus the shipping charge or we will ship the correct item at no additional cost to you. To err is human, to forgive divine!

Our shipping department takes time and effort to pack the item(s) with great care. If something should arrive damaged to you, please call our customer service department as instructed above.

4. Ordering Information

The Kitchen Shoppe accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards and The Kitchen Shoppe, Inc. Gift Cards.

Sales Tax Information

If you are located in Pennsylvania and are ordering on-line or by phone, you will be charged sales tax on merchandise where tax is applicable. Food is non-taxable. If you are from an area located out of the state of Pennsylvania, no sales tax will be charged.

5. Shipping Information

The Kitchen Shoppe accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards.

We ship United Parcel Service to all continental U.S. destinations. Sorry, International shipping and/or FedEX service NOT available. Alaska, Hawaii, P.O. Box, APO and FPO will ship via USPS Parcel Post Air. Rates vary according to destination and weight. We do not ship C.O.D.

Orders received before 1:00 p.m. Friday EST and after 1:00 p.m. Sunday EST will ship within 24 hours. Orders received over the weekend will be shipped by 1:00 p.m. the following Monday. We answer all orders personally by e-mail to let you know if we have received your order. If an item is out of stock, you will be notified and have the option of holding or canceling your order.

All credit card transactions are protected by SSL (the same encryption banks use) in transit to us. Should you still feel uncomfortable ordering on-line please feel free to call in your order, toll free 1-800-391-2665, Monday through Friday 9:00-6:00 pm.Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m or Sunday, 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Please do not e-mail us your credit card information, you may, however, e-mail us with any questions or requests at any time, or you may print out an order sheet and mail or fax it to us.

7. Directions and Retail Hours

The Kitchen Shoppe, Inc. and Cooking School is located in central Pennsylvania at the junction of I-81, I-76 (the PA turnpike) and US Rt. 11. Our mailing address is 101 Shady Lane, Carlisle, PA 17013. We are 20 minutes from the state capitol in Harrisburg via I-81 or US 11; 2 1/2 hours west of Philadelphia via the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) and 2 hours north of Washington DC and Baltimore, MD via I-270, then US 15 then I-76. Holiday Hours Nov. 30th-Dec. 23rd Retail hours are: Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday, 12:00pm to 5:00pm.

Directions from I-81
We are off Interstate 81, exit 52. Go towards Carlisle route 11 south go approximately 1 mile past the PA turnpike entrance on route 11 south. About 200 yards more, turn left just before Hoss' Steak House on Shady Lane. We are approximately 1/4 mile back lane on left (Large Barn).

Directions from the PA Turnpike (I-76)
We are off Turnpike exit 226, towards Carlisle. After paying toll, bear right down onto Rt. 11, go approximately 200 yards, turn left just before Hoss' Steak House, this is Shady Lane. Back the lane, we are the big barn on the left.
